Downtown Shenandoah, Inc. was in good company on May 7. The Northeast PA Manufacturers and Employers Excellence Awards was held at Mountain Valley Clubhouse and was filled with enthusiasm as a variety of awards were presented to the business community. Downtown Shenandoah received the Employers Excellence Award for Expansion for spearheading The Center For Education, Business & Arts. CEBA, which is currently under construction. This community center and innovation hub will strengthen the economic landscape of Schuylkill County. CEBA is for all walks of life to collaborate, take classes, and find the resources they need to strengthen their skill sets.
Additionally, as a zoning requirement based on the building's size, DSI transformed two properties on South Main Street previously damaged by fire into an off-street parking lot for CEBA visitors.
