"An Exciting Chapter For Our Community"

DSI proudly opened the doors of the long-awaited North Schuylkill Center for Education, Business & Arts. A ribbon cutting was held on April 30 to celebrate this major milestone for the nonprofit organization. "The opening of The Center for Education, Business, & Arts marks an exciting new chapter for our community," said Darlene Robbins, Executive Director for NEMAEA and DSI board member. "This long-awaited innovation center will spark opportunity, drive economic energy, and serve as a true hub for growth, collaboration, and creativity in our county," she added.

Before the celebration, the DSI board of directors held its first board meeting in its new home office."How exciting to meet in our brand new conference room," said Mary Luscavage, executive director and board secretary. I am so happy that all our dedication, passion, and commitment to this project are now a reality." She continued to share that CEBA aligns with DSI's mission to stimulate economic development for the present and future of our community.

Mary also explained that moving from the Damato Post to the new space was only possible thanks to our amazing volunteers."Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who carried furniture, pictures, computers, boxes, bags, and years of DSI history across the street to our new home office. We couldn't have done it without you! Yes, the move is bittersweet, but we'll always hold memories made in the Damato Post close to our hearts. It's part of our history," she said.
